Each consultation is comprehensive and tailored to the specific needs of you and your baby. Services may include:

• Detailed maternal and infant assessment

• Feeding observation and clinical evaluation

• Latch and positioning support

• Weighted feeding assessment (when indicated)

• Development of a personalized care plan

• Coordination with your pediatric provider, if appropriate

• 1 week of secure follow-up support via text or email

 

Visit Options

In-Home Consultations (Long Island/Queens/NYC)

Care delivered in the comfort of your home environment to support real-time feeding needs

• Available: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday

• Travel fees may apply

 

Office Consultations

• Available on Sundays and Thursdays at The Nesting Place (Merrick & Yaphank location)

 

Telehealth Consultations

• Virtual visits available for prenatal education, follow-up care, and ongoing support

 

Insurance & Payment

Insurance-Covered Visits

Services may be covered at no cost through The Lactation Network.

 

Commonly accepted plans include:

• UnitedHealthcare

• Aetna

• Cigna

• First Health

• NYSHIP and many PNOA plans

 

Once eligibility is confirmed, we will both receive a verification email and may proceed with scheduling.

Self-Pay Options

For families without eligible coverage:

• Payment is due at time of service

• A superbill will be provided for potential reimbursement through your insurance carrier

• Payments options are Apple pay, Zelle, Venmo, Cash, All major credit cards, FSA/HSA
